March 30th a group of 3 students from QueensPark School went on their first practice expedition accompanying 2 other students who were completing their final expedition. The expeditions have to be at least 3 nights/4 days in length. The students have to complete 8 hours of activities each day with at least 4 hours of hiking. In the group we have Charlotte, James. Chris on their first practice with Ashley and Jenny completing their final expedition. We all stayed at Market Rasen Racecourse camp site and each day walked an average of 10 miles (16k). On one of the days we walked across the Humber Bridge and back again, a distance of nearly 3 miles (5k). The next practice expedition is in May.
