Belgian activities during the last schoolweek of 2010.

Durin the last week before the holidays we did a lot of fun things.
We learned how to sew and made these boots.
We also learned how to make pancakes. We ate them during our class christmas party. We baked too much so we treated Rudy's and Freddy's group too. We also played the presents game our teachers played in Denmark. Our teacher changed the rules a little bit. We only were aloud to take a present away of those who had two or more presents. So at the end everyone had at least one present.
With the group of Freddy, they were in Comenius last year, we went to an exhibition on the evolution of Christmas in our town. It was great .

On Friday morning there was a special breafast for the pupils who come to the morning care.

Santa Claus came to wish us great holidays on Friday noon before we left school.

We wish you a happy 2011!

Making Cards!

Hello, everybody!
Christmas is coming but the weather is still sunny here in Greece. However, during previous week our students and we have decided to bring the Christmas spirit by creating cards and sending them to our Comenius friends.

Kids really enjoyed the procedure of making cards. They had the opportunity to cut, paint, compose images and write wishes.

At the end students were really proud of their creations and we were really proud of our students!
We wish all of you HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Comenius visit in Denmark

In week 47, Sofus Franck School in Denmark got visit from our comenius friends. There were visitors from Belgium, England and Slovenia. In school they were shown around by other pupils, they attended our music performance and joined classes to see how we teach. They tried art classes, gymnastics, music and math, english and danish lessons aswell. In one class we used skype to talk with our class friends in Belgium. We have done syping before, but still it was funny, because their belgium teacher was here with us :-)
On Sofus Franck School we enjoyed having comenius on visit and we hope our guests enjoyed it just as much!

Snow in Lincoln

Hello Everyone
This week me and Class 11 have come to Center Parcs for a week of fun. We left school on Monday and there was a little bit of snow and on Monday afternoon the snow came. The snow has been falling all the time and today Wednesday 1st December it is 15 inches (36cm) deep. This is the most snow I can ever remember.
All the roads in Lincoln are blocked, schools are closed, many work places are also closed.
We are having a good time in the snow here in Center Parcs, we have a hot tub that we have all used, a sauna and steam room that the staff have used, plenty of food to eat and a large television so if we are snowed in and cannot go home we will be OK
We went to watch a pantomime last night called Cinderella and they all enjoyed the show. Sam and me went ten pin bowling instead.
The photographs show Sam and Kayleigh in the hot tub, Samuel and Stephen in the hot tub, walking in the snow, a snowman they built, Aaron bowling, Cinderella and the picnic table outside our house.
