Fienelot: part 5

Lunch outside.
Rehearsing the moving table.
Fienlot's animal friends.

Bloeband music corner.
Getting last instructions before the performance.
We did spend the week in Bellegem to help the teachers to build the stage and rehearse. It was hard but fun. Today we performed for 200 pupils and it was great! We loved the applause. Only the string of our teacher Bernard's guitar broke during the performance but it was quickly fixed. It's great to see our headteacher Christophe play on his drumset. Tomorrow and Saturday we play for family and friends.
And our teachers... ? They still live!

Fienelot

In the weekend of March 26th we have our musical. It's about a girl named Fienelot and she lost her mum. Her dad needs a governess and she helps to look for one. Her animal friends help her out when she is sad. It's a sad story with a happy end. Our teacher Bernard wrote 14 songs , music and lyrics, by himself. We have to perform everything life on stage. There are no teachers on stage. It's not alway easy but we manage. On March 25th we perform for the schools in the neighbourhood. There are already 350 tickets sold. For now we get lessons in the morning and rehearse all afternoon. Tomorow we all go to church to film Fienelot's funeral. This will be the start of the play. Our teachers help us a lot with reading and learning text and lyrics!
Here are some pictures of this afternoon. Some pupils make costumes, decor and attributes.
We have great fun and the teachers....... severe headaches!
