Hello Everyone
In October 10 pupils from Queens Park School went to Porto in Portugal for a week. We met a teacher (Luis) from a school called Cercigaia in Vila Nova de Gaia and he showed us around Porto. We also met the students from his school and they joined us on many trips. The photographs are of Porto, the boats that carry the port wine to the port cellars. One photograph of Porto has the high Clerigos Tower in the middle, we climbed up to the top of the tower. There is a large monastery on the Vila Nova de Gaia side of the River Douro and we were allowed to climb to the very top of the monastery and one of the photographs is of the river with Gaia on the left and Porto on the right. We also went surfing in the sea or sunbathed and on pedal karts by the sea-side. We can also see Stephen drinking a glass of port wine. Luis took us to a typical Portuguese restaurant and we ate some very nice things, mussels, olives, percebes (black things) and prawns. We had a great time and the weather was very warm and sunny. We hope to go back again.
